A few days ago I observed five children outside playing. There was a black girl, a white girl, a white boy, and a Hispanic girl. I could be wrong but the fifth girl had brown skin and may have been of Middle Eastern decent. I watched as they played together in harmony. I could not hear their conversation but if I had to guess, they were not arguing over their parent’s political party of choice, their particular religious affiliations, their different ethnic backgrounds, their socioeconomic status, or anything else that divides us. They were simply playing, smiling, and being free. What if we could be more like the children? What if we could simply coexist, respect, and love one another despite our differences? What if we realized that there is more that connects us than divides us? We are one.
Affirmation of the Day
Today I am accepting oneness as Divine truth. I am one with the Creator. I am an expression of Divine love. I am open to seeing that same love in every creation for we are one and I am love.
